In considerations of services provided to you by whoownsthatproperty.com as described on this website you agree to make the appropriate payment and be bound by these terms and conditions:
The information and documents we provide for you are the electronic copies of authentic documents (known as ‘Official Copies) held at HM Land Registry. We exclude any liability for errors made by the Land Registry. The information we provide is as provided by them. Neither we shall be liable to you and/or any other third party for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, implied or consequence arising from any inaccuracy or incompleteness, or in delays in the delivery of the said information supplied via this website.
Information processed electronically over the internet or via email may be subject to delays and / or losses which are beyond our control. Neither we or our information provider or supplier shall be liable for any losses arising thereof.
The law which applies to this contract is the English Legal System.
Distance Selling Regulations and Cancellation
As our service is one which is to be provided within a period of less than 7 working days your right to a “cooling-off” period under the Distance Selling Regulations does not apply. Therefore, if you wish to cancel your order you must do so before we begin to process your order. Because we process most orders shortly after receipt of instructions you must send an email straight away to info@whoownsthatproperty.com quoting your name, address and property search Instruction Order Number. Cancellation can only be accepted if we have not already begun to process your order.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. We will treat all information obtained about our customers with strictest of confidence. Neither we nor any of our associated companies sell, rent or trade to third parties any information obtained from our customers. The owner of the foresaid property will not know that a search is being conducted on their property.
If you experience any technical errors in submitting your order please notify our technical support office by email stating the nature of difficulties or errors, please send your email to info@whoownsthatproperty.com
Refunds Policy
In carrying out our searches we incur costs and therefore refunds have been restricted to the following circumstances:
- Where Document Searches are made but Registered Documents are not available, if another search cannot be substituted for it.
- Discretionary refunds may be given but only rarely. Any such will be at the sole discretion of whoownsthatproperty.com and will generally only be given in exceptional circumstances.
- In all cases where are full refund is given; a £5 administration fee will be deducted to cover the cost of financial transactions and other charges incurred by us.
